Whatever the reason, there are a number of ways for individuals and groups to get involved at Ringwood Manor! Seasonal (Part-Time) Employment
Ringwood Manor and Ringwood State Park are administered by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. Each year, the NJ State Park Service hires approximately 600 people to fill seasonal jobs from May through September. These jobs include lifeguards, general maintenance employees, visitor service assistants, office workers, and natural or historic educators. Descriptions of these positions can be found on the Division of Parks and Forestry website. No experience is necessary. Salaries start at $13/hr. The minimum age for most positions is 16.

Full-Time Employment
Full-time, permanent employees at Ringwood Manor and Ringwood State Park are hired by the State of New Jersey. Open positions are listed through the State of New Jersey Civil Service Commission. Please see their website for more information on open positions and how to apply. Please do not send resumes to Ringwood Manor as we do not have the ability to hire full-time staff directly.
Volunteer

Individuals may assist at Ringwood Manor by becoming a volunteer tour guide, gardener, or researcher (just to name a few)! Individuals are asked to volunteer at least 4 hours each month at a minimum. Volunteers are only required to have a love of the site and a willingness to assist. Volunteer tour guides should expect several weeks of training before they are able give guided tours of the Manor.
Eagle Scout, National Honor Society, and other community service projects at Ringwood Manor would also be considered volunteering at the site. Throughout the year Ringwood Manor has a variety of college and high school students who participate in internships. Internships offer training in various aspects of museum management including museum registration methods, archival work and documentation, and interpretation for visitors. Interns can gain practical museum experience, as well as professional workplace and organizational skills, through part-time and full-time internships. These positions however require a minimum commitment of four hours per week for at least ten weeks per semester.
Internships at Ringwood Manor may qualify for college credit at certain institutions. It is the responsibility of the student to make sure they are fulfilling their college's requirements in order to earn credits for the internship at Ringwood Manor. Staff will gladly fill out any forms or paperwork required by the college or school, but it is the student's responsibility to provide all information to staff.
